If you are in a relationship, you are bound to discover the little things that irk you about the other person. Brian and I have a great relationship…we mesh so well with each other. However, we do tend to get on each other's nerves once in a while. Instead of venting about things that Brian does to annoy me, I thought it would be funny to list the things about myself that annoy him. I thought I was perfect in his eyes, but I guess not…
Singing- I like to sing. I’m the first to admit that I’m tone deaf, but it’s still a lot of fun. However, Brian does not think it’s all that fun when I sing. If we are in the car and I so much as hum—he changes the channel on the radio. If we are watching TV and I start singing along to a commercial or TV show, he threatens to put on the history channel or ghost hunters…
TV shows- There are certain TV shows that we enjoy watching together like The Office, House, Lost, etc. But he absolutely hates when I put on “crap” like The Hills, One Tree Hill, any show that’s on Bravo, Bridezillas, etc.
The phone- According to Brian, I talk too loud on the phone. The thing is, I’m a passionate person and when I’m having a conversation on the phone, I can’t control the volume of my voice. I just can’t.
Cleaning- I have a hard time picking up after myself. It’s not that I don’t want to do it, I’m just lazy. For example, I have my own pace when it comes to putting my clothes away. I like to do it in stages. First, I like to give my clothes around two weeks to dry on the drying rack. Then I’ll fold everything and leave it in a pile next to the rack—probably for another week. Then I’ll bring the pile upstairs and leave it on the dresser. Then maybe a day later, I’ll hang everything back up in the closet. This is not Brian’s preferred method. He thinks I should do it all at once, but I think that’s just crazy.
